Or actually it's more like: to shave or not to shave? Keven wants to shave both of the kids heads, and frankly? I'm fighting the idea and will until the end of time.
Why you ask?
I have my reasons.
Keven Jr. and Isaac have completely different hair. Keven Jr's is straight and Isaac's is curly. Keven Jr has had long-ish hair, short hair, a buzzed head and I have to say, I like his hair long-ish to be honest. And that's how it is right now. However, if he said that he wanted to shave his head tomorrow, I'd let him. And that's only because we've done it before. I've seen how it looks.
Isaac on the other hand has pretty much never had a haircut that's made that much of an impact because of his curls. We've always just had his hair trimmed whenever it started to get a little to out of control, I like his curls! The problem however is that he told me just recently that he wanted to shave his head and well.
I won't let that happen.
I just can't.
I'm attached to his curls, I won't lie.
Keven wants to shave their heads and thinks I'm being silly that I refuse to let that happen.
It's only hair.
So tell me, what do you think?
I think Keven Jr needs a little taken off but Im with you on Isaac leave his alone.our sister(LM)
ReplyDeleteI just think it's unfair. Why are you ok to let Jr cut his air if Jr wants, but you refuse to let Isaac cut his hair if he wants? It's not so much I want to shave their heads... just think if they want a hair cut, they should be allowed to have a haircut. :P

I agree with KJ... Isaac is not going to think it is fair that Jr can get his hair cut short and he can't, just because Mom likes his curls. He will get it cut eventually, so why not now? Let go of the curls!
ReplyDeleteI let my boys choose, at this point. One wears it long and shaggy, surfer style, and one prefers short man cut. (Not buzzed.) Someday they may want to express themselves with liberty spikes, but I'm sort of hoping they don't feel the need to do that since I let them make their own decisions now. :)
ReplyDeletei let me kiddos have just about any haircut they want...currently, Jaden is holding on to his curls & refuses to let Curtis cut them off...but i agree - Isaac's curls are awfully cute! ;0)
