Sometimes it's hard to believe that I live only mere minutes away from this view. I can see it every single day if I really wanted to - and get this; I wouldn't have to drive out of the way to do so.
I got up early this particular winter morning a few months ago with my father in law in order to photograph Garden of the Gods at sunrise. He had never experienced the gardens in that way before. And he was in awe.
Getting up early on purpose to go photograph my surroundings isn't something that I typically do, but I'm thinking maybe I should.
The view is just too good to let go to waste.
